Dr Russell Woods is the principal dentist at Emu Dental. He graduated from Manchester University with a bachelor of dental surgery degree in 2006 and is a member of the Australian Dental Association. Dr Woods is experienced in a variety of treatments and has a reputation for excellence; known for his comforting and relaxed work environment, ensuring the highest level of quality & care for his patients. Dr Woods is also a very dedicated family man and loves spending time with his wife Louise who is also the practice manager and their two children.

Dr Alexander is local to Yeppoon and a familiar face to many in town. She attended St Ursula’s college before later qualifying with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University. 
Dr Alexander has practised dentistry both in the private and public sectors, bringing valuable experience to our practice. 
In her free time Dr Alexander enjoys beach walks and travelling. 
Dr Alexander is extremely passionate about her work and proud to be serving her community. Her special interest is in preventive dentistry.

Dr Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2016, at the James Cook University in Cairns. She Started her dental career in Rockhampton, before making a sea change to beautiful Yeppoon. Dr Sam is dedicated to making her patients dental experience as relaxed as possible and is passionate about preventative dentistry. Sam loves life at the coast, beach walks, camping, fishing, keeping fit at the gym and running kemp hill.

Dr Sagar, a proud local of Rockhampton, earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University. With a strong commitment to making every dental visit a comfortable and stress-free experience, he approaches all aspects of dentistry with genuine enthusiasm. Dr. Sagar is particularly passionate about enhancing his patients' smiles and boosting their confidence through his work. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time at the beach or working out at the gym.

Dr David Woods completed a Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Manchester in 2009. Dr Woods has a caring and gentle approach to providing dental treatment. He is a strong believer that prevention is better than a cure, and places a special emphasis on educating his patients on oral health problems and how to better care for their mouth. In his spare time, David enjoys keeping fit.

Dr Sunita completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003, from Government Dental College, Mumbai, India. Following this, she spent a further 3 years in India, completing a Masters in Orthodontics degree in 2006. She has also held the role of Associate Professor of Orthodontics, responsible for the teaching and training of postgraduate orthodontists at University. Having a passion for creating beautiful smiles using braces and invisalign (invisible braces), Dr Sunita has since focused on providing orthodontic services for her patients for the past 13 years. With such a wealth of knowledge and experience over the years, Dr Sunita is extremely talented in the field of orthodontics.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and travelling.

Louise has been an integral part of the practice since its inception. In the early days, she served as both Dr. Russell's dental assistant and receptionist. After taking time away to raise their children, she returned to the office once their youngest began school.

Rosslyn began her dental career in 2020, earning her Dental Assisting Certification that same year. Driven by a genuine passion for oral health, she completed her Certificate IV in Dental Assisting and Radiology in 2025.

As a committed lifelong learner, Rosslyn stays at the forefront of clinical best practices while expertly managing day-to-day operations. She leads in-house dental assistant training programs and streamlines workflows to deliver exceptional patient experiences and practice efficiency.

Outside the clinic, Rosslyn cherishes quality time with family—whether sharing a picnic under the sun or exploring scenic nature trails.

Kat brings over five years of experience in the dental industry, with a strong background in dental assisting, patient coordination & practice administration.

As our Front Office Coordinator, she plays a vital role in ensuring every patient’s experience is seamless, welcoming, and reflective of the practice’s commitment to exceptional care.

Passionate about delivering the highest standard of service, Kat takes pride in creating a professional yet friendly environment where patients feel at ease. Outside of the practice, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on trips, and relaxing by the beach.
